The Mehlville Board of Education approved the hiring of Jessica Hoban as an assistant principal at Oakville High School for the 2024-2025 school year.
Hoban was an administrative intern at St. Charles West High School last school year. She previously served as a high school art teacher in the Rockwood School District from 2016 to 2023. She also worked for two years as a middle school art teacher in the Valley Park School District.
"We are excited to welcome Ms. Hoban to the Mehlville School District," said Dr. Jeff Haug, Superintendent of Schools. "It was evident during the interview process that she has a strong educational background and a love for students."
Hoban has a bachelor's degree in art education from Maryville University, and two master’s degrees in school administration and curriculum and instruction from Lindenwood University.
"I am excited to become an Oakville Tiger and join this amazing community," Hoban said. "I look forward to working alongside such amazing and dedicated educators, staff, students and administration to help continue to make OHS an amazing place."
Hoban will begin serving as assistant principal on July 1, 2024.
