McKelvey, Behlke, Hassler, Pretto elected to Mehlville Board of Education

During the April 2 Board of Education election, Patrick McKelvey and Tori Behlke were re-elected to three-year terms, and Peggy Hassler and Jean Pretto were re-elected to two-year terms, according to unofficial election results from St. Louis County Election Board.
All four are incumbents and will be sworn in at the Board Reorganization Meeting on Thursday, April 11. This meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Mehlville High School Library (3200 Lemay Ferry Road) and will be live-streamed on the Mehlville School District YouTube channel.
Patrick McKelvey currently serves as Board Secretary. He was first elected to the Mehlville Board of Education in April 2021. This will be his second term. McKelvey is a professor at Illinois College and is a graduate of Oakville High School.
Tori Behlke currently serves as Board Vice President. She was first elected to the Mehlville Board of Education in April 2018. This will be her third term. Behlke is a preschool teacher at Faith Early Childhood Center. She is a parent of a current student in the district and three Oakville High graduates.
Peggy Hassler currently serves as Board President. She was first elected to the Mehlville Board of Education in April 2017. This will be her third term. Hassler is operations manager/paralegal at Keefe and Griffiths, P.C. Attorneys at Law. She has three adult children who attended and graduated from schools in the Mehlville School District.
Jean Pretto was first elected to the Mehlville Board of Education in 2014 and has served in various leadership positions on the board, including vice president and secretary. Pretto is a retired educator, and her children and grandchildren have attended Mehlville schools.
