Kindergarten class at OESOnline registration for students entering kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year begins Monday, Jan. 6. Children born before Aug. 1, 2015 may register for kindergarten.

Mehlville School District offers a full-day, tuition-free kindergarten program with developmentally appropriate and rigorous curriculum. Our high-quality teachers provide caring, personalized instruction.

“It all starts in kindergarten,” Oakville Elementary teacher Peggy Evers said. “We’re trying to help them to be critical thinkers and how to communicate with other people. We try to bring in character and how it’s important to have good character in addition to the academic piece.”

“My favorite thing about teaching kindergarten is how much they learn in a year’s time,” Hagemann Elementary teacher Paula Kennedy said. “They come in at all different levels and skills. They learn to read and write with us, how to do phonics and how to be a friend.”

“The biggest concept of MOSAIC is that we’re providing a learning experience for the child everyday based off their passions, interests and pace of learning, so it’s personalized for that student,” Principal Scott Clark said.
