National Merit Semifinalist and Commended Scholars

National Merit ScholarsOakville High School senior John Jackson was named a 2019 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. OHS Senior Jack Parcell and Mehlville High School Senior John Emelko were both named Commended Students.

Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and includes students who scored the highest on the 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) in each state. There are about 16,000 semifinalists.
