2019 Inductees

Mehlville School District is proud to announce the inductees for the district's Alumni Hall of Fame. Candidates were selected for making a lasting impact in their communities or on our nation. These inductees will serve as role models for current and future generations of students who aspire to be productive citizens and demonstrate traits that align to the Mehlville School District’s Portrait of a Graduate: Creative and Critical Thinker, Self-Aware, Persistent, Communicator, Ethical and Global.

The 2019 class was chosen by a selection committee including members of the Mehlville-Oakville Alumni Association, Mehlville-Oakville Foundation, Mehlville National Education Association, Missouri State Teachers Association, Oakville High School, Mehlville High School and district employees.

The following alumni were selected: 

Rob DesHotelRob DesHotel, MHS '84, television writer and producer
DesHotel was a writer-producer who worked on shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, That '70s Show, True Blood, Mike and Molly and Man With a Plan. He also served on the Webster University School of Communications Advisory Board, where he regularly mentored students. Learn more.


Michael DugganMichael Duggan, MHS '69, retired vice president of sales at Dot Foods
Duggan is the former president of Kraft Foodservice in Los Angeles, who went on to help start Arctic Frozen Foods in 1990. The frozen food distribution company merged with Dot Foods, the largest food industry redistributor in North America. Duggan has served on numerous boards, including Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) and Ducks Unlimited. Learn more.


Howard FieldsDr. Howard Fields III, MHS '02, principal in Webster Groves School District
Dr. Fields is an award-winning school leader who has become known as an advocate for educational equity and for building an environment where diversity is celebrated. He led Koch Elementary through the community turbulence that followed the shooting of Michael Brown. Dr. Fields is also an adjunct professor at Harris Stowe State University. Learn more.


Kevin KlineKevin Kline, OHS '88, radio broadcaster, founder of Snowdrop Foundation
Through the Snowdrop Foundation, Kline provides college scholarships to pediatric cancer patients and provides funding for pediatric cancer research. Kline is an endurance athlete, training to run 300 miles on the Dalton Highway in Alaska to raise money and awareness for his foundation. Kline's broadcast career spans three decades as a radio host. He is currently co-host of the top country radio morning show in Houston, The Q Morning Zoo on The New 93Q. Learn more.


Ken LeachKen Leach, OHS '76, accomplished sales director, Blue and Gold Officer for the United States Naval Academy
Leach has served as a sales director for Compass Group, Rosetta Stone and other companies that support education. He also started the junior football program at OHS and assisted with the start of the MHS junior football program. He’s an admissions interviewer and liaison for the United States Naval Academy and was a Mehlville School District board member from 2005-2008, serving as president in 2006-2007. Learn more.


Robyn MestemacherLieutenant Colonel Robyn Mestemacher, OHS '91, Commanding Officer, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps
Lt. Col. Mestemacher leads the all-female 4th Recruit Training Battalion in Parris Island, South Carolina. She's responsible for training 3,400 female Marines each year. Prior to this role, Lt. Col. Mestemacher was recognized as one of the top sexual assault response coordinators for the Marine Corps. Learn more.


Todd NewtonTodd Newton, OHS '88, game show host and author
Newton has been a disc jockey, entertainment reporter for E! and has hosted game shows, including Family Game Night and Whammy! He received the 2012 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host for Family Game Night. He is currently hosting the live stage version of The Price is Right. Learn more.


Bill NottelmannBill Nottelmann, MHS ‘36, music educator and former owner of Nottelmann music
Known as "Mr. Music Man," Nottelmann was widely considered the biggest supporter of Mehlville School District. He taught music in Mehlville schools and supported music education through the business he started, Nottelmann Music. Nottelmann also founded the Mehlville-Oakville Alumni Association. Learn more.


Steve O'LoughlinStephen O'Loughlin, MHS '85, president and chief operating officer of Lodging Hospitality Management
O'Loughlin has worked his way up in the hospitality industry, starting as a maintenance worker for the St. Louis Clarion Hotel at 15. Today he manages and owns more than a dozen hotels in St. Louis. He also serves on several boards, including Jazz St. Louis and Mathews-Dickey Boys' and Girls' Club. Learn more.


Keon RaymondKeon Raymond, MHS '01, retired linebacker for Canadian Football League, founder of K25 Sports. 
In addition to teaching kids basketball, football and life skills through K25 Sports, the retired professional football player also regularly speaks at schools and community groups about a variety of topics including gender-based violence and concussions in youth athletes. Learn more.


Bob RogersDr. Bob Rogers MHS '59, former superintendent of Mehlville School District.
Dr. Rogers first worked for Mehlville School District as a physical education teacher in 1963. He retired as superintendent 33 years later. Dr. Rogers created a successful strategic plan for the district and helped pass a $30 million bond issue that resulted in the construction of Rogers Elementary.


Irene TrepplerIrene Treppler, MHS '43, former Missouri state legislator.
Treppler was the first Republican woman elected to the Missouri Senate, where she served three terms. Prior to that, she served six terms in the Missouri House of Representatives. Treppler was known for writing the "potty parity" law, requiring an equitable number of toilet facilities for women at stadiums. She also helped pass laws to make public buildings safer during earthquakes and added protections for doctors who provide emergency aid at accident scenes. Learn more.


Kelly Clark WicksKelly Clark Wicks, MHS '85, successful small business owner, and baton twirling judge, coach and mentor.
In addition to being a successful insurance agent, Wicks founded the Mehlville High School Majorettes, she coached high school twirlers at both MHS and OHS along with numerous other area high schools. She also provides scholarship pageant coaching and has a 17 year history of volunteering for multiple schools in Mehlville School District. Learn more.


Hall of Fame inductees were recognized at the Mehlville High vs. Oakville High football game on Oct. 25, 2019, held at Mehlville High School.
