Wohlwend Elementary interventionist Ellen Geders works with a studentIn consultation with the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, and following a review of COVID-19 related data for South County and the region, we have determined that we will move students in preschool through second grade to Plan B (Blended learning with staggered attendance) on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

We hope to expand Plan B to older students as soon as possible. County health officials shared yesterday that children ages 5 to 9 currently have a significantly lower positivity rate for COVID-19 than children ages 10 and up. The county health department continues to recommend virtual instruction for middle and high school students, who make up the bulk of new youth cases in St. Louis County.

Please watch this video for more information on the data we're tracking and our decision to pivot to Plan B for preschool through second grade.
