Both high schools among nation’s best

Oakville, Mehlville high schools ranked among nation’s best

Oakville and Mehlville high schools were both named "best high schools" by U.S. News and World Report. The rankings evaluate more than 23,000 high schools nationwide to identify schools that best serve their students, assessing the degree to which students are prepared for college-level work.

In the 2019 listing, both high schools were identified as among the nation's best high schools. Oakville High School was ranked 33rd among Missouri high schools, and Mehlville High School was ranked 80th in the state.

The rankings are based on data from the 2016-2017 school year, including math and reading proficiency tests, participation and performance on Advanced Placement tests and graduation rates.
