MOSAIC

The new innovative elementary school in the Mehlville School District, previously referred to as the Choice School of Innovation, now has an official name.  On Thursday, March 9,  the Board of Education approved the name MOSAIC for the new school.

MOSAIC is an acronym for Mehlville Oakville Students Achieve, Imagine, Create.  There were 554 applications for the 250 student slots at MOSAIC.  The lottery is now complete and letters will be sent out soon to parents whose students were selected to attend MOSAIC. The school will open in August of 2017.

MOSAIC Elementary will use what is currently the St. John school building that houses several alternative educational programs.  The building is located across the street from the Mehlville High campus on Will Avenue. Dr. Scott Clark, currently the principal at Forder Elementary, will be the new principal at MOSAIC.
